Light of the World (John 8:12-38)

Are you living in LIGHT or DARKNESS?
Live in the light of fellowship w/ God!
1. Receive the Father’s true testimony 12-20
How do we know truth?

With proper standards – examine Scripture
With proper desires – examine yourself
With proper pursuit – examine Jesus

Light reveals truth!
2. Escape the Son’s coming judgment 21-30
Believe, or die in your sins!

Jesus is “I Am.”
Jesus knows the filth of our sin.
We deserve eternal wrath!
God desires our rescue!

Light exposes sin!
3. Abide as the Father’s free son 31-38
Is there hope when we’re stuck?

Everyone who sins is a SLAVE to sin.
Freedom is having the right master!
God invites us in as SONS!
A disciple is a devoted follower!

Light enables freedom!
