Take time to minister to people with compassion!

1. See the priority

Compassionate ministry takes sacrifice:

• Time
• Energy
• Money
• Plans
• Safety

Loving God and your neighbor are greater priorities!
Beware of self-justification!
Beware of structural worship!

2. See the person

See people the way God sees them!

• Not by labels or categories
• A compassionate God (Exodus 34:6) feels compassion toward people (Matthew 9:36)

The better question: To whom can I be a neighbor?

3. See the pain

Sinful people are hurting people, in need of hope and help!

• Wounded by their sins
• Often turning to sin for healing

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. (Romans 12:15)  Feel pain with them.
