Anchor your hope in Jesus!

Jesus is the eternal Creator 15-17

Jesus has the rights, status, and rank of a firstborn in ancient Jewish culture.
Jesus visibly reveals and represents the invisible God! (John 1:18, Hebrews 1:3)
Jesus designed, created, owns, and sustains all things!

Jesus is the supreme Lord 16, 18

Jesus deserves first place in our hearts and lives – preeminence, not just prominence!
Jesus is the ultimate authority, worthy of all honor – our worship and obedience!
“In everything” – Jesus is Lord:

Over the universe
Over foreign kings
Over every second of your life!

Jesus is the divine Reconciler 19-23

Sinful man declared war against a holy God.
Jesus’ blood and death accomplished our peace treaty with God.
God takes pleasure in our reconciliation!
Jesus presents us faultless before God.  We come in faith and hope!
