Celebrate the beautiful sanctity of marriage!

1. Created for relationship 18-20

God demonstrates man’s need for relationship.
God is a communal, relational God!
Man is incomplete for enjoying companionship, procreation, corporate worship, and sanctification.
Singleness is a gift for some people.  (1 Corinthians 7:7-8)

2. United to complement 21-23

God uniquely created woman from and for man.
Man and woman are equal in value, both made in God’s image.
God entrusts men with loving leadership and women with helpful support.
A helper provides what is lacking in man and meets his weakness with strength.

3. Bonded with intimacy 24-25

God establishes marriage for one man and one woman for life.
God prescribes oneness in this physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, relational, legal union.
God joins husband and wife together! (Matthew 19:6)
Marriage portrays the love of Jesus in the gospel! (Ephesians 5:31-32)
