Did God Say? (Genesis 3:1-7)
Know your enemy!
- Deceptive slanderer (2 Corinthians 11:3)
- Powerful (2 Corinthians 4:4)
- Invented lying (John 8:44)
- Against God (Ezekiel 28:16-17)
- Against you (1 Peter 5:8)
Beware the powerful allure of temptation!
- Trust God’s goodness 2-5
Is God good?
- We can trust His Word!
- God is for us, not against us!
- We are most fulfilled in His provision!
Anchor your trust in God’s Word and God’s character!
- Guard your desires 6
Unguarded desire leads down the path of temptation toward sin. (James 1:14-15)
Covetousness (Deuteronomy 5:21) lingers and longs.
Beware of discontentment that wants more than God.
Beware of succumbing to worldly loves! (1 John 2:16)
