1. What impressions, applications, or questions do you have from this passage?
2. How can a holy God so despise sin, yet so love sinners like us? How does this move you to thankfulness and change?
3. When you experience pain, conflict, or death, are you reminded of the weight of sin? How can you let these prompt reflection, as well as hope in Jesus?

2. You don’t have to be a different religion to worship other gods (Deuteronomy 30:17). What are some ways that idolatry creeps into the church today?
3. Have you ever been tempted to give up on God? What struggles or letdowns have you walked through, and how did you keep your trust in the Lord?
4. We subconsciously make many 100s of decisions per day, often without fully realizing it! How can you guard yourself as you make the moment-by-moment decision to love and obey God (Deuteronomy 30:19)?
5. Blessing is received, not earned (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19). How does this humble you as you consider how much God has blessed you, despite your sin?
6. Have you ever felt that God’s commands are hard (Deuteronomy 30:11)? How is God making His word near since you were saved (Romans 10:8-9)?

5. Would you live any differently if God’s name was on your forehead (Revelation 22:4)? You belong to God!  How can you actively remember and reflect this?
6. We are deeply guilty before God, and utterly deserving of His curse. Yet blessing awaits all who have trusted Jesus, and the curse will be no more (Revelation 22:3).  Why would God do that for us?
