- Plants, animals, and humans have microscopic DNA that greatly influence its health, appearance, and abilities. Does this happen by accident? Can anybody design like God?
- Isaiah 40:12-31 and Job 38:4-41:34 humble us by how we cannot compare to God. What verses in these passages are particularly humbling or convicting?
- Note the organization of God as He develops creation over six days, categorizing and separating according to His plan. What do you learn about God?
- What amazes you most about creation and God’s development of the heavens and the earth? Who can you tell this week about God’s glory in creation and the gospel?

- How was Adam incomplete without Eve? Does this mean nobody should stay single?

- How does this passage demonstrate the beauty of marriage and sexuality according to God’s design?
- What gender roles are depicted here? Since this is before sin, pain, or conflict, how does this emphasize God’s design for men and women to complement each other?
- How can husbands and wives function with the oneness God prescribes for them?

- How do you see desire cause temptation and lead to sin in this passage (James 1:14-15)? How does this caution us about our desires?
- How did Adam and Eve succumb to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16)? How can we beware of these worldly loves?
- In what ways do we wrongly attempt to deal with our sin?
- How did doubt creep into Adam and Eve’s hearts? Is it true that all sin roots in disbelief?
- Adam and Eve were enjoying perfect fellowship with God before they exchanged it for a lie (Romans 1:25). How does that perspective convict us of our thinking that leads to sin?

- How does personal sin cause a particular vulnerable feeling like that of “nakedness”?
- In what ways do we tend to deflect our guilt or cover our shame?
- In Christ, God releases our guilt and covers our shame. How does this motivate and empower our confession?
- Why do we let fear drive us away from God rather to Him? How can we grow in a proper fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7)?
- God’s questions penetrate the heart for conviction of sin. How can we gracefully and lovingly minister to others with questions?

- Though pain and death are inevitable in life, what reminders do we have of the hope accomplished in Christ (Genesis 3:15)?

- Sin broke our fellowship with God, but God provides the restoration. How does His mercy move you to worship?
- We are deserving of death because of our sin, but we live and breathe by God’s blessing. How do you hold fast to this perspective?
- Sometimes God’s protection and purpose can be painful in our lives. How can we trust His plan even when we don’t understand?
- Within the first generation of humanity and the first three chapters of the Bible, all has fallen apart. “But God” (Ephesians 2:4) is mercifully working His plan! Do you struggle with this hope at times?
- Just as God clothed Adam and Eve, He clothes us with the righteousness of Christ (Isaiah 61:10)! How can we faithfully put on the new man (Ephesians 4:24)?
