God provides a joy that is full, unshakable, everlasting, inexpressible!

Jesus came for His joy and ours!

1. Joy in anticipation

There is a finish line!  This race isn’t forever, but the results are eternal!
Jesus would be exalted as king! (Philippians 2:9-11)
We joyfully await our coming reward!

2. Joy in suffering

The joy of Jesus is our reward in the midst of the race!
Joy is not about avoiding suffering but enduring suffering!
Take perspective by valuing Christ above comfort!

3. Joy in mission

Jesus came with purpose and suffered with purpose, joyfully cherishing that purpose!
Jesus’ joy is fellowship with the Father… and with us!
We can take joy in our purpose of knowing Jesus and making Him known!
