Hope in God’s merciful intervention!

1. God blesses us with life 20

The human race continues despite our guilty verdict. There is hope!
Every breath of life is a blessing from God, and even more because we deserve death!
God uses us for His purpose, despite our weak, sinful foolishness! (1 Corinthians 1:27)

2. God covers us with grace 21

Naked & unashamed --> naked & ashamed --> clothed & ashamed --> clothed & unashamed
Yahweh clothes man and woman, introducing the first sacrifice and first death.
God’s provision accomplishes what man could not!
Jesus is our atonement, and God clothes us in His righteousness! (Hebrews 10:10, Isaiah 61:10)

3. God restrains us with love 22-24

“Like God” gave them some knowledge, but they fell short with sin and inability!
Beware of taking God’s place to determine good and evil. (Judges 21:25)
God’s protective purpose can be painful… but we can trust Him! (Proverbs 3:5)
