• Uphold these values!
• Be defined by these values!
• Pursue these values!

Continue in what you have learned! (2 Timothy 3:14)

Fulfill the ministry God called you to!

1. Always be ready 3:16-4:2

Scripture profits and completes us to be effective in life and ministry!
Make opportunities rather than excuses!
We must be a community that grows together – with diligence and with patience!

2. Always be sober 4:3-5

We need a spiritual sobriety that is not given to the influence of unbiblical pursuits!
It is that sobriety that enables our longevity in serving through hardship!
It is that sobriety that moves us to value the gospel enough to tell others!

3. Always be wholehearted 4:6-8

Hold nothing back in giving your ALL to the Lord!
Commit your life to God’s purpose:

• With the end in mind (Philippians 1:23)
• One day at a time (Philippians 2:16)
• Moved by Jesus’ return (Titus 2:13)
