• Don’t go back under the law (legalism) – Galatians 5:1
• Don’t go back under old lifestyles to serve the flesh (license) – Gal 5:13

The flesh (spiritually weak and helpless human nature) is powerless to please God

BEWARE of using freedom for evil!

1. The flesh is trained by the world

And the world is trained by the devil! (Ephesians 2:1-3)
These works are prominent and acceptable in the world.
Beauty is corrupted and redefined.
The world tells us we deserve our desires, and we should pursue them!

2. The flesh is default for autopilot

Intentionally and decisively live by the Spirit – or your life will be a pursuit of fleshly desires.
Our sin nature within stands ready to take over!
These behaviors come from the inside. (Mark 7:20-23)
If we are not sowing to the Spirit, we are sowing to the flesh – and that’s what we’ll reap! (Galatians 6:8)

3. The flesh is steering toward damnation

These works are characteristic of a lost person – patterns of someone deserving hell.
They are evident in our lives.
They are destructive in our relationships.
Diagnosis: you’re contaminated at the ROOT.
