Take confidence in God’s true Word!

1. Rest in God’s purpose 17-20

The Lord has redemptive purposes in the midst of our heartbreak.

• That He might humble and test you (Deuteronomy 8:16)
• That His works might be displayed (John 9:2-3)
• That you might know and trust Him (John 20:31)

2. Pray for God’s power 20-22

Are you looking for someone to blame, or someone to trust?
Turn to God in prayer, not away!
Pray honestly, desperately, compassionately, hopefully!
Who is the God you are praying to?

3. Hope in God’s promise 23-24

Don’t doubt God’s promises because of circumstances! (Romans 4:20-21)
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25) – then and now!
God’s Word is true – because He is Truth! Now what?
